About Me

My name is William King. I am a photographer and videographer from Colorado. I am currently a Senior studying Journalism and Spanish studies at the University of Colorado Boulder. I will forever be emphatic about all things outside and on the road, it’s where I found myself, and the future of my life. That was not always the case though. I grew up in Houston, Texas and was unaware of the beauty of the world around me. I fell victim to the dreadful isolation of an urban setting, and was unaware of the vast world around me. It was not until I moved to Steamboat Springs, Colorado when I was 13 years old that everything changed for me. Through a mixture of family camping trips, and school-led outdoor expeditions, I slowly learned to love the outdoors. Without much time, I was outside and traveling around as much as I could. Ever since unwrapping my first entry level DSLR Camera on Christmas morning in 2019, my life and view for the world has never been the same, as I will continue to search far and wide for the most special places, and precious moments that define life as we know it. I have now traveled to 5 continents, and over 25 countries around the world. I have been lucky enough to spend time in places around the world most 21 year olds have never dreamt of seeing. From trekking in Nepal, to surfing in rural Africa, to motorbiking through remote Vietnamese villages, I will go anywhere to capture moments that most will miss.
